UNIFEMGA Honors 30 Distinguished Members at 14th Honors Day

The Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA) is set to celebrate 30 of its most distinguished members for their remarkable achievements and significant contributions to the association’s growth. Scheduled for Saturday, the 10th of February, 2024, this event marks the 14th edition of its kind and will take place at Bovina-View Hotel, Ilorin, Kwara State.

UNIFEMGA, comprising Muslim graduates from the erstwhile University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, aims to recognize and honor its standout members. The occasion will feature a lecture titled ” Restoring the Trust & Confidence of Nigerians in their Leaders ,” to be delivered by Justice Salihu Oloruntoyin Muhammed, a retired grand QAADI of Kwara-State Shariah Court of Appeal. Mr. Abeni O. Muhammed SAN will preside over the event as the chairman.

Among the distinguished honorees are Mall. Yusuf Laolu Ali SAN, a Professor of Practice at Federal University of Oye-Ekiti, Justice Fatimah Adejoke Sodamade, a Judge of the High Court in Osun State, Mr. Adetunji Kamardeen Bakare, the OAU REGISTRAR, Alh. Hakeem Toyin Salami, Permanent Secretary in the Oyo State Civil Service, and Professor Mrs. Lateefa Moyosore-oluwa Durosinmi.

Alhaji AbdulFattah Olanlege, the National President, emphasized that the individuals being honored were meticulously selected for their outstanding accomplishments across various domains of human endeavor.

“We are delighted to celebrate these 30 distinguished members who have not only excelled in their chosen fields but have also made significant contributions to the growth and development of UNIFEMGA,” Olanlege said. “Their achievements serve as an inspiration to all our members and showcase the immense potential of our association.”

The UNIFEMGA Honors Day is expected to attract a large gathering of dignitaries, academics, professionals, and members of the Muslim community. The event is also expected to be streamed live to enable members from all over the world to participate.
