Our History

UNIFEMGA has a rich and diverse history that spans over several decades. It was founded in 1986 as the Obafemi Awolowo University Graduates’ Association with the primary aim of creating a platform for alumni to connect and support each other in their professional and personal endeavors.

Over the years, UNIFEMGA has grown to become a vibrant community of OAU graduates from various fields, working together to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

Our history is a testament to the power of collective action, and we remain committed to upholding the values and legacy of Obafemi Awolowo University through our various initiatives and programs.

MEET OUR PRESIDENT

Engr. Mohammed Buari

Engr. Mohammed Buari, an esteemed engineer and former Vice President of the Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA), has recently ascended to the presidency of the organization. Known for his extensive contributions to engineering and his commitment to community development, Buari has been a pivotal figure within UNIFEMGA. His tenure as Vice President was marked by initiatives aimed at fostering professional growth among members, promoting educational excellence, and enhancing the welfare of Muslim graduates. His leadership style, characterized by inclusivity and strategic vision, has earned him respect and admiration within the association.

As the new President of UNIFEMGA, Engr. Buari is poised to build on his previous successes and lead the organization towards greater achievements. His presidency is anticipated to bring a renewed focus on harnessing the potential of the association’s members to drive impactful projects and community service.
