The University of Lagos, Akoka, is hosting its 27th Inaugural Lecture for the 2023/2024 academic session, delivered by the esteemed Professor Muhammed Olawale Hakeem Amuda. This prestigious event highlights our unwavering commitment to academic excellence and innovative scholarship.

UNIFEMGA Congratulates Professor Amuda

Professor Amuda, a highly respected member of the University of Lagos community, will present a lecture titled “The Vicegerent: The Evolution of a Contemporary Alágbède.” His notable academic background includes a B.Sc. (Hons) in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife; an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos; and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the International Islamic University Malaysia. His professional achievements are underscored by certifications from the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, the Malaysian Technical Staff Management Society, and the American Welding Society.

A Discourse on Leadership and Innovation

The lecture, “The Vicegerent: The Evolution of a Contemporary Alágbède,” promises to deliver an engaging exploration of modern leadership. Professor Amuda’s expertise in welding process analysis and surface modification will offer a unique and enriching perspective. This event is expected to be both intellectually stimulating and culturally significant, delving into the traditional Yoruba leadership role of Alágbède.
