“A Joyous Union of Two Muslim Graduates, Hosted by Prof. Owolarafe, Chairman of the OAU Muslim Community, at Cooperative Hall on Saturday”

On Saturday, 21st Sept, 2024 at Delight Corporative Hall, the Owolarafe family celebrated the joyous marriage of their daughter, Tawakalit, a proud graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), and Jibreel, a distinguished graduate of the University of Lagos (UNILAG). The event, held at the Cooperative Hall, was not only a celebration of love but also a convergence of academic excellence and Islamic tradition. 

The ceremony welcomed important personalities, with notable figures from the OAU Muslim Community, including the father of the bride, **Prof. Owolarafe**, who also serves as the Chairman of the OAU Muslim Community. The Nikkah officiation was a serene and spiritually uplifting experience, marking the sacred union of the couple.

After the official proceedings, the reception kicked off with great fanfare. The highlight of the day was the iconic **Great Ife Anthem**, proudly played to the delight of the OAU alumni present, playfully “oppressing” students from other institutions like UNILAG. The joyful rivalry between the schools added an extra layer of fun and camaraderie to the event.

As the day wound down, the festivities were far from over. An exciting **after-party event** was held at 7:00 PM, where guests continued to celebrate the beautiful union of Tawakalit and Jibreel. The Owolarafe family truly created a day to remember, blending tradition, academia, and celebration into one remarkable event.
