The Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA) is proud to celebrate the appointment of Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, a distinguished alumnus of the prestigious University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).

Professor Kalilu’s impressive academic journey began at the Fine Arts Department of the University of Ife. He further solidified his credentials by obtaining his Masters and PhD degrees in African Studies (Visual Arts) from the University of Ibadan.

This appointment signifies a remarkable achievement for Professor Kalilu and a testament to the caliber of individuals nurtured within our educational institutions. UNIFEMGA is particularly pleased to see one of its own Muslim graduates reach such a prominent position.

Professor Kalilu’s extensive experience speaks volumes. He is not only a well-established figure in the art world but also a seasoned administrator with a proven track record. His leadership roles include Head of Department, Dean of Faculty, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of LAUTECH, and numerous committee positions.

UNIFEMGA has no doubt that Professor Kalilu’s dedication, expertise, and leadership qualities will be instrumental in taking LAUTECH to even greater heights. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to him and offer our unwavering support as he embarks on this new journey.
