Highlight 1: 5th Annual National Program on Agriculture
The Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA), Ogun State Chapter, is set to host its 5th Annual National Program on Agriculture.
This year’s theme is: “Role of Individuals in Improving Food Quality, Nutritional Value, and Potential Income Generation.”
The event will feature expert presentations, including Prof. Adewale Waheed Salau (Dept. of Horticulture, FUNAAB) and Prof. Idris Ayinde (Dept. of Agric Extension, FUNAAB).
The program will take place on Saturday, 29th November 2025, at The Crescent (Muslim Professionals) Hall, Leme, Abeokuta, starting at 10:00 a.m. prompt.

Highlight 2: Fellowship Award Ceremony at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife
On 18 September 2025, at about 10:00 p.m., Chemical Society hosted a grand Fellowship Award ceremony—a night of distinction and high honour at Oduduwa hall Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife Nigeria
The gathering drew over 300 eminent participants, including senior university administrators, renowned academics, professional colleagues, family members and well-wishers.
Among the personalities celebrated was the Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, who received the Fellowship Award, while Professor Emeritus Asubiojo, the highly respected retired scholar of the Department of Chemistry, O.A.U., graced the occasion as a distinguished guest.
I am humbled to share that I, Dr. AMEEN, Babatunde Abdulrahman, was also conferred with the prestigious Fellowship Award during this memorable event.
The evening was filled with heartfelt tributes and congratulatory messages, acknowledging decades of exceptional contributions to Chemistry and Environmental Science, as well as dedicated service to national and international professional bodies.
The ceremony culminated in the formal presentation of the fellowship insignia and citation to all recipients—an inspiring recognition of professional excellence and a remarkable milestone in our collective careers.

Highlight 3: Courtesy Visit to a Respected Elder
On 14th of this month, members of the UNIFEMGA Executive Committee (Exco), accompanied by senior members of the Association, paid a courtesy visit to one of the Association’s respected elders, Lawyer Abeni (SAN).
The delegation was warmly received, and the meeting was described as both impactful and memorable.
UNIFEMGA continues to recognize and honour the roles of its elders, whose sacrifices and leadership have laid a strong foundation for successive generations.
May Allah continue to bless, guide, and uplift all our leaders and elders.
The Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA) proudly rejoices with one of our own, Alhaji (Dr.) Murtadha Adeyemi Adeniji, the esteemed Managing Director/CEO of Starlink Global & Ideal Limited, for receiving double honour from two of Nigeria’s leading universities: Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and the University of Ilorin.
Highlight 4: Lagos News: Coronation of Our Member as the Loja of Lukosi Land
The entire Lukosi family of Ile-Ife joyfully celebrated the Coronation Ceremony of His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul-Lateef Olawale Awojobi, FCA (Ojagbade I), as the Loja of Lukosi Land.
The historic ceremony took place on Saturday, 20th September 2025, at the Ooni’s Palace, Enuwa, Ile-Ife, under the authority and blessings of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR (Ojaja II), the Ooni of Ife.
The event was graced by family, dignitaries, and well-wishers, marking a new chapter of leadership and service for our distinguished members.
UNIFEMGA congratulates Oba Abdul-Lateef Olawale Awojobi (Ojagbade I) on this royal honour and prays for a successful and impactful reign as the Loja of Lukosi Land.

Highlight 5: 2025 Academic Research and Excellence Award
OAU Award of Excellence
Alhaji (Dr.) Murtadha Adeniji will be conferred with the OAU Award of Excellence on July 29, 2025, making him the third recipient of this prestigious honour from our great alma mater. This recognition celebrates his trailblazing contributions to technology, education, and youth development, as well as his enduring impact on society at large.
The OAU Award of Excellence honours individuals who exemplify distinction in areas such as Research, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Alumni Impact. Dr. Adeniji now joins an elite class of recipients, including notable figures such as Professor Anthony Adegbulugbe and Professor Yusuf Ali (SAN), further cementing his place in OAU’s legacy of excellence.
UNILORIN Excellence Award
Alh (Dr.) Adeniji was also recently honoured by the University of Ilorin with an Excellence Award on July 16, 2025. This well-deserved recognition stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment to service, integrity, and transformative leadership across multiple sectors.UNIFEMGA’s Tribute.
In the words of UNIFEMGA National President, Engr. Mohammed Buari:
“As a distinguished alumnus and shining ambassador of the Muslim Ummah, the above awards like many others you have received in recent times is testament to your integrity, generosity, leadership, and excellence in all that you do. Alh (Dr.) Adeniji’s recognition by both OAU and UNILORIN is a proud moment for the entire UNIFEMGA family and a source of inspiration to us all. His story is one of vision, humility, and legacy-building, and we are honoured to be associated with him and proud to say he is one of us.
